Can GIMP work on a u3 usb stick?

with u3 there is a launch window for all my installed apps and it would be great to have GIMP in there with the rest of them.
Can GIMP be converted to do this?

GIMP for U3 is being worked on, and should be ready soon.

Because 10 billion years' time is so fragile, so ephemeral... it arouses such a bittersweet, almost heartbreaking fondness.
