the openoffice portable is the program I use everyday.So I'm just concerned where would 3.2.1 be ready?
This post https://portableapps.com/node/19705 says PA needs updated approval from Oracle.That would be OK,but any idea when PA can get it? It's been several weeks already.Maybe Oracle is a little to slow about this?

I suggest storming the Oracle headquarters, taking a few hostages and demanding to be given the go ahead.*

I guess the approval will already be there when I'm able to get a passport and rushed in their HQ.
Afterall, It is half a globe to go for me from here in China......
A large company often has several layers of approval on things like this. And it's a new business from Oracle's point of view. We have multiple people on the OpenOffice.org team trying to speed things along.
As with our other apps, we keeps things completely legal and legitimate in the OpenOffice.org Portable repackage, so we get permission to use the trademark and refer to it as "OpenOffice.org Portable". So, to continue with said permissions and abilities, it's in all our best interest to let them achieve inner agreement with the other areas of the new company. After all, we don't want things getting shady around here

You are implying that the only reason you need permission to use the trademark is that you insist on calling the product "OpenOffice.org Portable." Does it ever occur to you that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet? You can call it "PortableOffice," "PortableAppsOffice," "PAFOffice," or even "OpenOffice.port" (pun intended).

The issue is that to do that, you'll need to fully recompile the app. In all 16 languages we support. For every single release. And, unlike Firefox, OpenOffice.org has no handy switch for branding internally because the trademark was never supposed to be an issue. It only became an issue with 3.2.1 after the Oracle buyout.
I should be chatting with them again this week. And we should hopefully soon have the first legal version of OO.o 3.2.1 portably.
