Hopefully your roms are

Hopefully your roms are legal..

Just zip them up before putting them on your key, most roms can compress really low. Not sure if they support .7z files on the newer emulators, that would be optimal.

no$gba

No$GBA (NoCashGBA) also works portable. It's free as well.

I do not understand why roms

I do not understand why roms are not portable ? they've just roms ... VBA loads them, and VBA saves/load anything releated to roms

of course if portable drive changes letter drive then you cannnot open a rom from RECENT list but still you just open it normal way and everything works fine

Embrace your dreams

They work

The ROMs work portably. I've done it many a time on my thumb drive. VBA loads he ROMs in .zip format and they work fine. they would probably work in .gba or whatever the extension is as well, but, obviously, they'd be a bigger file.
