When starting the portable version of TaskCoach 1.0.7 a warning is displayed that iPhone synchronisation is enabled but the computer does not have Bonjour service installed. Of course it does not have if this is not the computer used for the synchronisation. And it does not make sense to switch the iPhone synchronisation off every time the portable version is used on another computer than the one used for the synchronisation.
You'll have to ask over at the Task Coach site. They build the portable version themselves now. We have some ideas on how it could be enabled/disabled based on the PC you're on, so let them know we're happy to assist in the fix. I'd wager they haven't run across it because a relatively small % of people use the portable version and a much smaller % use iPhone sync. Put that together and it's a very small % of users that use both.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Thanks for the hint. I checked at their website, I would need to register and provide personal information. I don't want to register at yet another support forum just to give feedback on the application. I was actually hoping that all PortableApps applications can be addressed through the same forum and I need to register only in one forum for feedback on all the portable apps. But thanks anyway and if you can forward my observation to them then thanks. It does not botter me much since I can click the warning away. I just noticed that this did not happen in the old versions and wanted to report it.
