Sure! Would love to have it included in that app thing.... The version on my site is from 2003, I am updating the program now. So, if you can wait a day or two it should be finished. I will let you know when I am done with the rewrite.
Thanks for asking!

Thanks, Rob!

Initial Release
Hey John, the publisher is fully on-board with this. Can we fast-track it to official release?
Thanks!

What is point of Beta testing when people are constantly asking for fast tracking of software. Has there been any comments on it? I understand that he publishers are on board, heck I have three beta tests that are currently posted where I am in in constant contact with the developer. How about your reasoning as to why this should be fast tracked? Or the benefits of officializing it?

I haven't "constantly" been asking for fast-tracking. Out of around a dozen applications I maintain, this is only the second I've asked to fast-track. Most of mine have been patiently waiting, as normal Development Tests, for months.
When the publishers are on-board, it makes sense to fast-track to official release status, since that's the best way to form a partnership between the publisher and PortableApps. We send them visitors & publicity; they send us more software for the app listing. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement which can best be constructed by giving those publishers higher-priority status, or "fast-track" status, in the release queue.
Being in constant contact with the developer has little/nothing to do with this. Getting a commitment from the developer to link back to the PortableApps version, or perhaps even host the PortableApps version, does.
I spoke with John Haller about this in IRC today. The conversation basically speaks for itself, this line in particular.
As for receiving comments, I'm not expecting many (any?). This tool is only useful to software developers, which is a relatively small percentage of computer users and probably a similarly small percentage of PortableApps users. Given that most comments are to report a bug, which shouldn't be happening because the WELT launcher is so simple, I'd be surprised if more than half a dozen comments showed up in here (my update notifications not included).

I never said you personally, yes you have 2 great pieces of software and so do other, there have been a few developers lately asking for the "fast track". As for being in contact with developers not being enough Look at Rednotebook, http://digitaldump.wordpress.com/projects/rednotebook/download/ there is already a link on their page to PA's as does Zaz. http://zaz.sourceforge.net/index.php?page=3 I am no dummy. I was talking in general. I am sure you are ready and able to fulfill the requirements of developing and maintain the software for 6 months or more. Perhaps I was in error posting it under your topic. Perhaps I should have posted my question under its own forum. Sorry. I will cease and desist from making any further comments about your software or give any philosophical questions.

Sorry, I haven't been on much lately (aside from posting updates) so I wasn't aware of anybody but me asking for fast-tracking. The fact that you posted in one of my threads only seemed to confirm that you were talking to me (as opposed to in general).
I also didn't mean that you need to be in constant contact with the developers; I was referring to what a developer is willing to do to get the fast-track. By all means, if RedNotebook and Zaz are linking to PortableApps, request fast-tracking for their portable versions. (Personally, when John mentioned releasing a couple of apps next week, I wondered if some of them were yours - I know you've been working hard on them)
If you want to start a new topic on this, I'd be happy to discuss it with you there. I'm just not very happy to see this discussed/debated in one of my beta testing threads.
Cheers!
