uTorrentPortable 2.0.3 Installation Fails (Also, I tried 2.0.2 & it fails for the same reason)--
"The installer was unable to download uTorrent. The installation of the portable app will be incomplete without it. Please try installing again. (ERROR: SendRequest Error)"
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
One additional thing I noticed, If the installation fails, then the app will not be available to be used (because the installation had started deleting files in the portable directory in preparation for the new version...)
Is this normal (this is the 1st time I had this problem)?
2 thoughts...
1. Is this normal that if the installation fails to download the needed new files that the "previous version" of the program will no longer be available?
2. I thought all the files were downloaded when I originally downloaded the upgrade (I guess I didn't pay enough attention before). It seems that if it needs more files that it should download them to a "temp" folder prior to starting to remove the previous versions files?
Thanks for any replies regarding this problem and helping me to understand the normal install process.

Lately I have been unable to update my localized version of utorrent and also unable to access their website. Perhaps their servers are down.
edit: and yes, it is normal for the installer to get rid of old files to put in new files for the update.
I'm tired of people living in their fantasy world when the clock is ticking away, and when they are unable to see reality for what it is.
I can certainly access the uTorrent site and even download their installer, but the uTorrent Portable installer consistently fails to connect.
Just installed uTorrentPortable !
As an alternative you could download utorrent.exe itself from Here, and stick the downloaded utorrent.exe in the uTorrentPortable\App\utorrent folder.
That should work !
Note: there is no difference in the installer executable and the executable to run uTorrent. So no extraction is needed !
