Works on XP SP3 without admin rights. One thing is it cannot be run from a UNC path.

That's a feature of the PortableApps.com Launcher (though it should be getting the app name there...). The reason for this is mainly drive letter updating: it gets entirely out of hand with UNC paths, so in practically all decent apps (mainly meaning ones which update drive letters) it would break on UNC paths, so it was easier to disable them altogether.

UNC paths are unsupported in all portable apps.

The UNC path problem may actually be because of PAL: if I recall correctly, it aborts if it's running from a UNC path. That was awhile ago, though, so that may have changed.
