The thunderbird a2 is out already. I've been using portable thunderbird a1 for months and enjoyed using it, except for few bugs. Hope that the portable a2 will be out soon. Keep on the good job!

There is no such thing as Thunderbird 2.0 Alpha2 yet. It hasn't been released. There are nightly builds which may carry this label... but it isn't actually Alpha2 yet. When it comes out, a new directory will show up in here.
Also, as this is your first post you may not know... it's bad form to ask when new versions are coming out. They're ready when they're ready and not before. Welcome to PortableApps.com.
