Simpler way, with no launcher hacks:
Open GIMPPortable\App\gimp\etc\gtk-2.0\gtkrc

Open your desired theme, and copy the text within.

Highlight style "msw-default" to the end of the file.

Paste in the code you got from the other theme file.

If you need a engine, copy it to GIMPPortable\App\gimp\lib\gtk-2.0\2.10.0\engines. Note that the 2.10.0 may be a different (depending on which version of the gimp you are using.

Done!

I wonder if any chance of making the Magic DVD Ripper so portable. It is an excellent dvd ripper very practical and easy.

This comment should have been in the request apps forum. As for your question, I don't know.

would a mod kindly obscure the email address? Diesel00, you shouldn't post a email in the open like that because it becomes exceedingly easy for spam trawlers to pick up a address.

Public service announcment aside, just google for GTK themes.
You could also just look here: http://art.gnome.org/themes/gtk2

Open up the tarball that you get and find the file gtkrc and copy the info over.

Calm down a little there, diesel. It sounds like you'll bleed to death if you don't get themes for GIMP.

I googled, and there's not a nice clean repository for GIMP themes.
There's a guy that has an installer for GIMP Themes 1.0, but it assumes an installed version of GIMP.

You can install it, and then copy the extracted folders to the correct location, but you'll still need to move files around to make them work. Also, these aren't necessarily themes made for GIMP, but instead for GTK 2.0, which controls the window look for GIMP.

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.
