Thank the lucky stars it's a not a BP card, otherwise it'd be worthless in 6 months. :|

I thought Chris rode a unicycle though? Pardon

Cycle to Uni

I cycle to Uni (though not on a unicycle)... is that close enough?

I guess so *reluctant sigh*

On a slightly related note... no word of lie, I actually saw somebody riding down the street on a unicycle the other day! Times like that I wish I had a camera phone, because now this is nothing more than an insignificant anecdote. *more sighing*

So... you need gas for the bike? You should strap a 500cc engine to it just to give it a bit of a push Blum

Unicycles hurt my butt after 5 min. so that's why I ride my bike. (sry no 500cc engine to kick) And cops look at me funny when I pass cars down hills. (lack of brakes)

A bike on the road is actually governed by the same rules and regulations as a car. So the cop was perfectly justified in pulling him over.

That had to turn a few heads though Smile Big mustang taking off after a bike, lights going. "This is officer billy bob, in high speed pursuit of a 10 speed"

Speed limits

At one point on the way to Uni, going down Regent Street, I have to be careful about the 50 km/h speed limit (and with the speed humps, I can overtake other vehicles!). From experience going down a bit which is almost as steep on the way home along Blackburn Road where I can just manage 60 with a lot of effort, I think I could manage 60 without much difficulty down Regent Street if I wanted to.

I've been stopped by a routine police check once at the bottom of that hill at Regent Street too... they were doing breath tests of drivers coming through but after noting me down I was waved through without a breath test. Interesting.

I like the way you can practically ignore speed humps on a bike Smile

Interesting how this has become a bike thread rather than a thread about the promo card I got (?).

Noted. This is the traditional police cruiser. Though around here, I'm starting to see more (i think) mustangs with hemis. The old crown vics apparently can't keep up anymore.

third i was speeding through a school zone Smile

Hehe! Whatever floats the local boat.

Driving back from Ohio, probably in Indiana they have black mustangs, civilian plates, everything. The only hint is the laptop in the car . . ..

plain wrappers

those are a different story. the slang term for a police vehicle out here with no identifying marks of a police car is a "plain wrapper". they can be anything from a ferrari to a pontiac to a SUV to a van to a corvette to a mustang. each city's police department out here has different cars as plain wrappers.

i think there is even a SMART police car :3 its kawaii
