Multiplayer first-person shooter?

It would be really cool to have a free portable multiplayer first person shooter.

Here is one that is free: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starsiege_Tribes

Could we make Tribes portable? Or would it be better to start from something else?

Unreal Tournament G.O.T.Y.

I use Ureal Tournament(Game Of The Year Edition). Install it, add any updates/patches, then copy folder. I would suggest copying it to the desktop before you run it. Because of it being CD size, I make a SFX with 7zip. Cuts half of the size.

Um sorry if this sounds

Um sorry if this sounds stupid, but you said "I make a SFX with 7zip. Cuts half of the size.", what do you mean by this?

SFX

A self extracting archive, as in an .EXE that uncompresses itself without a zip program. More here.
As far as "Cuts half of the size.", I mean just compressing it in general.

It seems that UT2004 can work the same way. 1 "small" problem though - 5.2G uncompressed. I'm sure that removing "manual" & "help" would save alittle space, but I haven't explored how much yet.

Oh...

Oh ok, thanks.
I probably wont make an sfx for mine as I would use it at school mostly and I don't have time to extract it at school, good idea though.
