ClamWin: CWP 96.2.1 update query

I just updated from 96.1 to 96.2.1

I was happy to see that \Data\settings files were maintained
But
all the files in \Data\db were wiped out:
main.cvd
daily.cld
bytecode.cvd
mirrors.dat
during the update [and before the program was actually run].

Fortunately I had a copy of those files and restored them before running the program. Upon launch everything ran fine.

I THOUGHT you said after the last update, when there was a significant change in CW, that the installer would only do this if you were upgrading a version earlier than 96.1 or something like that.

Is it/was it your intention to clear out the \Data\db upon each update of the app. If so may I suggest noting that on the announcement so folks who do not want to have to download the virus databases all over can make a backup of them. We are talking about 30 MB, which while not a lot to some is a lot to others.
