Firefox Portable does not start - error at startup

Hello Mates,

yesterday I was receiving a new USB Stick with a lot of space.
My plan was to put on Firefox Portable to be able to download files on the HP Thin Client at my workplace. The operating system is Windows CE 2.40

I downloaded and installed the program before at home on my Win7 Laptop and it worked properly. Now always when I try to run any app on the Thin Client, there occures following message:

Cannot find 'Firefox Portable' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all the required libraries are available.

I did not rename anything and the installation before was successful, even a test-run at home worked without any problems.

Do you have any idea what I should try to do?

Thanks a lot for your help, guys!

Windows CE is not actually Windows (it's Windows in name only) and can't run Windows software. Windows CE is just a certain version of Windows Mobile for phones. Same thing really. And the same way Windows software can't run on your Windows phone, it can't run on Windows CE either. There is no version of Firefox for Windows CE nor will there be.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

thin client

does run the win CE just as first level boot system. On this not only you can not install anything, you are also not supposed to do any changes to it at all if this is the thin client boot OS. This boot OS will then load what ever operating system from the net, and from there you will be probably able to run portable apps if the real operating system is windows. If it is something else, like linux or so, the portable apps will work there too via wine.

But please, do not modify the thin client boot OS, your network admin will not be amused at all.
