Twitter makes Pidgin Portable fail - possibly it is the new Twitter 0auth

Editing out the Twitter entries in [drive]:\PidginPortable\Data\settings\.purple
prefs.xml and blist.xml makes it work again.

This fail happened on the same day that Twitter started using the 0auth login scheme, so maybe there's a connection.

Not us

If that's an issue, it's an issue with Pidgin itself, not with Pidgin Portable, and so you should talk to the Pidgin team about it; we don't develop Pidgin, just the portable version.

Twitter?

Pidgin doesn't have built-in support for Twitter. Did you add an extension that is misbehaving?

What plugin?

I access Twitter via Pidgin thanks to microblog-purple using the OAuth method to authenticate my section. I've yet to encounter any problems nor crashes because of it.

Perhaps you placed one of the files in the wrong folder? Also, make sure you have the latest version 0.3.0.

I know they don't have it on .zip file, but you can surely download "pidgin-microblog-0.3.0.exe" and use a program like 7-zip to "open archive" and extract the files you need; which btw are under the folder $[35]

I hope this helps.
