My CD drive dose not appear in my computer! When I go to device manager it says Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I tried the upper and lower filters thing with no luck!
1. How about a more descriptive subject (you've been here long enough to know this)
2. Please don't shout or use 100 exclamation points (unless you want to look 8 years old)
3. You'd be much better off with a Google search or asking in a forum devoted to Windows and hardware issues. Offhand, reinstalling the device and drivers might make sense.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Off hand, do you have the Iomega software installed for a Iomega product? Same thing happened to me back in the day and it was that software. Othewr than that, need more info.
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you do or say will be exaggerated or mis-quoted and used against you.
Any way, when I go to my computer, my cd drive dose not appear. If I go to device manager It says TSSTcrop CDRW/DVD TSL462C (my drive) with an exclamation mark next to it. When I go to properties it says code 19. I uninstalled it then my computer reinstalled it. I looked on Google and it says to delete something in the reg. (the upper and lower filter thing) I tried safe mode, and most recent settings. No imoga software or burning software. I did have magic disc which i unistalled after and magic iso.
See my advice in the Support Forums/Other Apps Support: "Lost CD/DVD Drives -- For Neerd"
at https://portableapps.com/node/3439 .
Hope that helps. John is probably going to remind us that this is not a support forum, so you should probably post future comments and questions about this support request on the other topic rather than here. That's why I posted my advice there instead of here.
Good luck.

you should have posted here.
