I've enjoyed firefox, especially the portable version, for many reasons. However, firefox has trouble displaying text in correct proportion. I recently noticed that IE does not share this tendency.
Take a look at this screenshot to see what I mean:

Is there a workaround for this firefox characteristic? I'd love to keep enjoying its other benefits which outweigh IE but this one is a little annoying.
FYI my screen resolution is 1920X1200, and all text on the firefox window shown has been scrolled down to the minimum size allowable.
thanks for any suggestions

It looks like you might have just inadvertently change the text size in firefox. If you hold down the CTRL key and scroll with your mouse the text size in firefox will grow and shrink. Try it and see if the text shrinks back to normal.
If that doesn't work, try a virgin copy of FFP and see if it does the same thing, it might be something in your profile. I can see USAA.com fine in both IE and FFP and the look exactly the same. No text problem.
PS. I also keep my resolution the same as yours.

... except the easiest way to get it back to 100% (aka normal) is to hit CTRL-0

well, it turns out the text only has the problem on my native harddive install of firefox-- the one on my thumbdrive works fine.
guess I'll need to reinstall the main app on my harddrive... something must be corrupt.
