Some of the websites I am a member of have built into their site a chatroom. A chatroom where I can add friends, see who is online and chat in an im style environment.
Is it possible to add these website chats to pidgin?

Without you saying what they are, there is no way to tell; if it's IRC, for example, you can; if it's a proprietary system then you can't. Find out what they use and then see if Pidgin supports it.
