As Always Thanks John
Sorry to say but I received this error when I tried using the menu updater to update.
Works Fine
I just ran it and it worked exactly as expected. I'd wager you got an incomplete download, so it failed. Please keep future posts like this within the Beta topic.
My bad
Just retried and all good. And yeah forgot (again) about post in the beta forum.

"Service Unavailable" - temporary
503 means "service unavailable". In this case it happened as the website lost access to its database a short while ago (not sure for how long). The URL /bouncer still goes through Drupal and so requires the website to be working to get it.
Approximately 1:00-1:10am EDT
It happens around 1am EDT and lasts about 10 minutes. This is during our nightly differential backup of the Drupal database and site. During that time, the DB is unavailable.
What additional features are included...?
Does the PortableApps version of XnView include the following features (some Plugins/Addons, NConvert, Media Detector) referred to on the XnView website, or are these features excluded to keep the size at a minimum?
What's Inside...
I just opened up XnView Portable and the following are listed:
Plugins:
Add-Ons
PortableApps doesn't add or take anything away, so I'm guessing these are included by default with the installed version of XNView too.
Correct
The gentleman is correct in stating this.
Umm,
"No Adware, No Spyware" is a feature?
Does that mean all other apps / competitors include adware or spyware?
Just my 2 cents.
Exactly what it means :P
Bought a phone. Features starting: "Supports SMS, "...
Dis(c)laimer: though I know SMS actually is a feature...
Oh Well, Fun for all the Family
It could maybe see it not being adware as a feature, but not containing spyware... if it did contain spyware would that be a "bonus upgrade"?
It's a bit like saying, I'm going give you a puppy and it has the feature of being rabies-free! Awesome! I like that feature.
Anyway this isn't really a PortableApps issue since that list looks like it's taken directly from the XNView feature page. One to take up with the author/s perhaps?
Rabies-free puppy?
How didn't I think of that... Well, Darkbee to the rescue
I agree it's an upstream lapse, but a fun one non the less... Too bad XnView Team isn't the only one putting nonsense in it's features lists.
PS: Someone edited ("fixed"?) it just now
