Would you be able to remove CDEarth.com from the Google ad on the AudacityPortable home page? These people tie unsuspecting users into recurring "subscriptions" to Audacity. The Audacity Team filtered them out years ago.

To be honest, I've never heard of CDEarth.com or seen it on the site. Once I checked it out, I blocked it sitewide, though. Thanks for the heads-up.
Update: Can you check with the Audacity admins and see if there are any similar ones preying on unsuspecting users we should watch out for?

i rarely ever notice the ads. thank god for that as i am very warey of clicking anything i dont know the source to.
Also its nice to know the audacity team comes here.
I'm glad I use Firefox with Adblock Plus... i almost never see an ad. I even installed it on my grandfather's computer so he doesn't click on things that can harm his computer.
Everyone should have this!

We don't do any animated, sound or even image-based ads. Just the two small text ones in the lower left clearly marked Sponsored Links.

also i can figure hosting is expensive. a site i use to frequent eventuly fell under bad times whe n the hosting started to cost 150USD per month. luckly it was saved.
Our hosting is over 10x that in any given month, easily.
