No, because...

The taskbar is a part of windows explorer (I think). And it is closed source...

I'm tired of people living in their fantasy world when the clock is ticking away, and when they are unable to see reality for what it is.

RocketDock

Try RocketDock. It's freeware (I think) and I believe it's portable. You can hide your normal XP taskbar and use this instead.

There might even be a portable version hanging around here somewhere. (search the forums)

I'm looking at it

I'm trying to make a launcher that writes all values from the registry into the INI in the same format the RocketDock does it.

You know how you can save data in the form of an INI (or registry)? Well, the launcher will look at the registry and write the values to the INI, and change the settings in RocketDock to read from the INI.

However, there are a lot of settings to worry about. I've been working off and on it for a few weeks now, hope to get a release out soon.

open

Dock Settings -> General -> click Store Settings in a Portable INI(single-user)

yes

I mean, though, that the user can uncheck the box, and all their settings will go into the registry. I writing the launcher to detect if the user decided to change the settings, so it can write all the registry entries back into the INI file, the same way RocketDock does, so RocketDock can read it.
