It's working just fine for me without admin on XP. The usual prompts, warnings etc. and then it runs fine (Speccy also warns about the lack of admin).

fortunately, I had downloaded this already for my netbook when it WAS working. So I just copied the speecy directory from one computer to the other. I can zip that dir up and make it available to you but I don't want to do anything against the policy of this site do I'll wait for somebody to tell me Yay or Nay.

Thanks, but I just wanted to communicate the bug/change. Putting the contents of the manually downloaded zip to the speccy folder works as well (and as version numbers match shouldn't break portability either).

What is if official status on Piriform apps?
We know they don't want us bundling them, but we shouldn't need permission for an online installer.
I don't know if they have any branding stuff, but if it is OK, I could post Recuva and CCleaner.
For an official release with their trademarks, we need their permission. They have refused. Anyone distributing a portable version of any Piriform products except Piriform is doing so 100% illegally.

Downloaded and installed it fresh and cool program, however this morning when I booted my PortableApps drive I got warning that the autorun.inf had changed. When I checked it was renamed speccy...Not a big issue as I manually changed it, but it thrpugh up a warning that the file had changed?

Looks like that's Speccy being lame. There will be no proper way to handle that as apps should absolutely not be messing with a drive's autorun.inf. It will trigger antivirus warnings in a few different products as well. As Speccy will never be an official PAF, I'd say just put a warning about it in the description.
