For a while i've been keeping a portable I2P package up to date mainly for my and friends. I think the structure is somewhat a mess and things aren't how they are supposed to be yet.
So, i'll post it here, hopefully get some feedback and make some additions and/or corrections to make it official portable app.

My first posts regarding portable I2P were a reply to a request.
This topic is an attempt to put the 'project' into development to, in the end, release an official portableapps.com application.
I assume not everybody reads request topics.
I'm sorry but according to my discription, as you state, what is illegal?
All software included in the package are open source and free for distribution.
The first one I observed was Java; the JRE is not open source, nor can it be freely distributed.

Actualy i'm using the java version from this site...
How is 'my' version any more 'illegal' then the version this site is providing? (since it's the same..)
I2P is dependant on the JRE and for security reasons i don't think it's reasonable to use a preinstalled version on the machine it's running on (if that were even possible)
What we distribute is an online installer - different from bundling it.

Ok i'm sorry for violating these terms, i just tought i could give a valuable contribution to the portable apps scene.
If you (or anyone else) have any suggestion how to go about this issue i'd love to hear it.
Could you give a full list of the things that you've done with it? What it includes from other source, what you've developed, what it provides?

There is no coding or development done by me, all i did was put it together in a nice package that runs 'out-of-the-box' so that it's usable for non-technical people.
Since I2P is a 'platform' on wich you can run various other networking tools i tought it would be nice to back those all together so that people can start USING it right away instead of doing all kinds of research into I2P and what's available for it.
All applications included are original, opensource and developed by the I2P community. (check out echelon.i2p for most info's on one site)
Except for the JRE ofcourse, which is the biggest problem now i think.

I had expected a reply already in the mean time.
I've been looking into the JRE license and i am legaly allowed to ship JRE with any software that requires JRE to run properly.
Please read up on the current license. This may also be a good opportunity for you to ship a full portable JRE instead of a downloader.

All license files and documentation of the software packed is included.
The issue is that we ship it as "Java Portable"; this rebranding prevents that clause from being used.
