Comments
ClamWinPortable_0.96.4_English.paf.exe having issues.
Installs fine, but when you go to update virus definitions.. it just hangs indefinately. 10.. 20.. 30 minutes go by with no action.
If you hit the CLOSE button.. it yields a error and aborts.
Something is definately wrong in this version....
Okay here
Odd … Just gave it a try to verify, but it works well here (as did the previous versions). (Windows/XP+SP3 German, Admin rights.) It still has the old bug of the "vanishing" log text, though: The text in the log window "disappears" when ClamWin has completed its upgrades. Just move the slider at the right, and voilà, the text is back.
Here’s the log:
Maybe it’s some kind of internet access problem on the machine you tried it on (firewall, router, whatever)? I seem to remember it used to behave erratically when unable to access the update files.
Update
Ok, finally got it to work....
I had some temp files in the data/db directory that were corrupt.
I deleted all the data out of the DB directory.. and restarted.. this allowed me to redownload the main and daily def files from scratch.. resolving my issue.
