u3 View recent documents menu

U3 dosn't keep your documents from showing up in the recently viewed list?

Nope

U3 just provides a framework for apps to start n stop when running portable. If you open something up from your U3 drive (in Explorer, for instance) it'll still show up on the local PC's recent docs.

oops

I suppose that would be the job of some privacy related software like cruzersync.

By the way, why is the special u3 launcher needed, besides making things look pretty, and easy to access?

Like open office for instance, it runs fine if you just run soffice.exe

No, it doesn't

It actually stores all its settings on the local machine if you run it directly. That's what my launcher fixes. The OO for U3 launcher is just a modified OO Portable launcher. (OO Portable being the app that runs from any drive you want)
