I need a guide for toucan

Hi, everyone. I am a new user to toucan.
I felt Toucan was hard to use, and I think the webpage(using toucan) is too simply. so I want to find a guide or tips for it. Anyone can help me?

and I still have a question: Do toucan can sync multi folders? look like this:
I have 10 diffrents folders in myData , but I just want to sync 7 of 10, how can I achieve the result?

Read the manual?

Have you read the Toucan manual? It should be able to answer your questions and help you to understand it.

I am a Christian and a developer and moderator here.

If you are using the latest

If you are using the latest version, click on the "Settings" tab and then click the "Help" button.

Not Multiple Folders Directly...

Toucan can only only synchronize 1 folder BUT... you can create "jobs" and run multiple Syncs using 1 job. It would be a hassle to set up (1 sync per folder) but once it's done then you would simply run the job each time and it would run all 7 sync operations one after the other.

I use this hack

I want to sync a few of the many folders in My Documents on my work computer to my flash drive. I set up a Sync job with @docs@ as the source and @drive@\Documents\Work as the destination. Then I set up a rule that uses regular expressions to exclude all folders and then include the specific folders I want to sync:

Rule Type
*[\\] Folder to Exclude
*\\Folder1\\ Locations to Include
*\\Folder2\\ Locations to Include
*\\Folder3\\ Locations to Include

The drawbacks with this approach are

  • I don't see a way to sync files that are just in My Documents rather than a subfolder of My Documents
  • If I have a subfolder of My Documents that contains the string \Folder1\ etc. anywhere in its path, it will be synced

Nevertheless, it works for me. If anyone can suggest a way of improving this method, or a better method entirely, I would be grateful.

Sync wt Toucan

Toucan is a SW, what is promissing much but held NOTHING!. IF an SW is been advertised here, I expect that it CAN Sync e.g. from (local) PC to (and back) from USB (Portable Apps).

All what I wanna do, simply is to Update:

MyMoney:

Firefox Bookmarks:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Peter\Anwendungsdaten\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xj8anu50.default -das Format ist jetzt (glaube ich!?) SQLITE;

N:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\Data\profile ???? -unsicher!

NOTHING of this featured issues for syncing to Flash has been succeed!! Therefore Toucan isn't "the one and only"!?? -What are the preferences?? (better Progs??)?

Hi,

could you start a new thread with your issue please and post in English as I am afraid I do not understand what exactly you are trying to do. If not hopefully one of the better German speakers can help us although a new topic would be best as this is a different issue to the rest of the post.
