Basically, I'd like an app that logs you into your normal Kongregate account, but only connects you to the chat portion of it and opens it in a separate program window. I primarily use Kongregate for the chat, as do many of the people I know, and having the full browser open while I do other things is a nuisance.
I'm not sure if Kongregate's chat or any part of the site is open source, I don't know how to check. I figured if I posted it here, someone that was interested and knows how to do it could look into it. If it's not possible, just comment on here telling me so.

You should search the Kongregate documentation or ask on their support forums (assuming they have them) if there is a chat API that uses something like Jabber/XMPP protocol because then you will be able to use a chat client like Pidgin. Facebook chat works this way now, as does GoogleTalk.
