Google Chrome Portable page needs to be updated to say "Google Chrome Portable Beta 9.0 and Dev 10.0"
instead of "Google Chrome Portable Beta 8.0 and Dev 9.0"

Google Chrome is very slow when I run it from my pendrive. I can't use it. For PCs with USB 1.1, starting Chrome takes a minute or two or three. Sad

USB 1.1 is exceedingly slow and very outdated. Any PC with only USB 1.1 ports can probably barely run Windows at this point since it would have to be quite old. USB 1.1 is a very old format (released in 1998). USB 2.0 was released in April 2000 and is 40x faster.

If you have a computer that old, you'd need to upgrade the ports to make any use of portable software bearable. You can get a USB 2.0 IDE or PCI card for around 10 bucks for a desktop. Or a USB 2.0 PCCard for a laptop for around 15 bucks.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
