Found an all in one document viewer called STDU Viewer

I found an all in one document viewer called "STDU Viewer" the web site is posted below:

http://www.stdutility.com/stduviewer.html

I have tried it out on my desktop and it works for TXT, TIFF, PDF and DjVu. It will even open the pdf's that SumatraPDF has problems with.

So I was wondering if it would be possible to make this application portable it would cut down on the amount of document viewer apps. swaving space for everyone.

I agree

I have just trialled this with JauntePE & it works well as a portable app.
I have a lot of multi-page TIF files of site plans and I had been using xnview but this programs displays them better.
It would be great if someone could do a PAF launcher for it.

Official portable version available

We create portable version STDU Viewer, and upload it on our site.

We will be glad to add our software for this great site, if it is possible.

Welcome, How To

Welcome to PortableApps.com. To appear in our app directory, the app must be in PortableApps.com Format. We have the tools (Launcher and Installer as well as a template) available in our Development section so you can do it yourself, if you'd like. All tools are free and open source. We can also assist if you'd like us to. You can then offer this PA.c Format package as your standard portable version on your site as well as to users here.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Let Us Know

Let us know if you need any help and when it's done. As mentioned, you can replace your zip version with a PA.c Format version. Like the zip, the PA.c Format version will work with or without our platform. A PA.c Format portable app has the advantages of:

- Data in a consistent location for easy backup
- Easy installation with a familiar wizard using a multilingual interface
- Easy upgrades by installing over an existing version
- Better compression than zip files for faster downloads
- Self CRC check and optional digital signatures to ensure integrity
- Automatic installation into the PortableApps.com Platform
- Automatic updates by the PortableApps.com Updater

Beta Testing

Good! Now it would be helpful to split this into a separate thread about the release in the Beta Testing forum - follow the guides in there about how to post it, and put "Dev Test 1" in the DisplayVersion (to follow the Development Test system for releases). I'll see about checking this tomorrow.
