LookInMyPC

Name: LookInMyPC

Website: http://www.lookinmypc.com/

License: Freeware

Description: LookInMyPC is an at-a-glance tool that puts all your system information-in detail-right in front of you. You can find all this information by digging through your computer with various Windows tools, of course, but it’s extremely convenient to have everything in one place.

Similar to Speccy and a great companion tool when requiring more details.

Notes:

  • Requires admin rights.
  • Website provides a ZIP (Portable) Version and state in their New Features:

[Can be] Run from a Thumbdrive
    100% Portable

  • From the website's download page:

"LookInMyPC is free for personal, business, and professional use.
Any public redistribution is prohibited without prior approval."

  • Lifehacker article reviewing LookInMyPC (February 11, 2010).

Looks like a really useful tool

I'm sure that plenty of other user like myself use portable apps when diagnosing and fixing systems. This would be a great app to have.

I made this half-pony, half-monkey monster to please you.

I'll do it

but I'm not sure whether to make the regular version or the portable version portable (the site says either will work portably)?

Portable version

Not aware of any feature differences so I suggest the portable version to be the more practical option.

Looks like a pretty useful

Looks like a pretty useful tool. Looks almost the same as Belarc Advisor but without the personal use only limitation and several more things scanned.

Thank you orusofoz for "LookInMyPC: Smile

I suspect Belarc phones home (to MS) for latest KBs ... and I wonder what else ?

Progress is mans ability to complicate simplicity
