All extensions disappeared in FFP

I just encountered a weird problem with FFP (I am using the 2.0 RC3 version). A search in this forum did not reveal anyone with a similar problem. I would be glad if someone could help me with it.

Following the instructions on the FFP site, I had copied my profile and extensions from the local FF (FF2.0 stable, on my computer) to the FFP Data folder (on my USB drive). And it appeared to work for a while, in that I had all the extensions enabled in my FFP and it ran as desired.

But today, when I started FFP, only the base version of FF loaded without any extension whatsoever! Even after closing the app and rerunning it, I am still getting the base version.

Does someone know what happened here? Shock

Thank you for your reply...

However, I am not so sure that it applies to me, since I can run all the other applications from the USB drive without a hitch! I hope someone else can throw some light on this.

Well

your profile could be corrupted. Try making a new profile and reinstalling the extensions one by one.

Good suggestions, and...

Thanks, RMCCue and Nerd both, for your replies. It, however, does not seem to be my drive or the profile. I checked that by removing everything on the drive, reformatting the drive (did not find a bad sector), and reinstalling FFP. Same result, same slowness (even in the safe mode)!

RMCCue, Firefox may be built for portability, but this v.2.0 avatar seems to have forgotten that Smile - I can say with certainty that I did not have any of these problems with FF 1.5.0.7 (the last that I used prior to 2.0). But as John Haller mentioned, perhaps this is because the v2 is still a work-in-progress. I shall try disabling the session manager that came with FF2 (following John's suggestion) and try again. The earlier session manager with the Tab Mix Plus extension never gave me these troubles and was very useful in crash recovery. Perhaps I shall go back to that one.
