MS Excel Macros do not work with Open Office Portable

When I open a file created with MS Excel and containing macros, the macros do not work with Open Office Portable.

I get an error alert box saying:

A scripting Framework error occurred while running the basic script
vnd.sun.star.script:Standard.Module9.Fw?language=Basic&location=document.

Message: BasicProviderImpl::getScript: no script!

What does this mean and how do I get Excel macros to work with Open Office Portable?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Does it work in OO?

Does it work in a local install of OpenOffice.org? If not, then it won't work in the portable version either.

Some macros are supported. Some aren't. Test it with a local version.

MS Excel Macros do not work with Open Office Portable

No, the macros do not work in the installed version (v2.0) of Open Office either.

Are you going to explore the possibility of Excel macros working with Portable OO in the future?

OOP is OO

OOP is OO. If it doesn't work in OO, it'll never work in OOP.

VBA in OOo

As far as i know, it already works.

Look at this:

Can somebody modify OOP for Win to be able to work with it please?

Thanks
Oliver

And once again

Once again, this was already answered. If a macro works in OpenOffice.org, it works in OpenOffice.org Portable. If it doesn't work in OpenOffice.org, it won't work in OpenOffice.org Portable. If there's some macro functionality you want supported, ask over at OpenOffice.org.
