I think you should seek clarification of "without any modifications" - does he mean the installer or program in a different installer?

Pyromaniac has always (in previous instances) explained what portable software is and how it is packaged, so if that statement was made to him in the context of those email discussions, it would be a yes. Perhaps he can provide some more context or double-check with the publisher just to be sure we're in the clear.

and before you say anything... I was gonna say 'amateur' because none of my apps are official, but I didn't think that would help my cause... and I aint much of the proffessional type so yeah...
you can install it along side your existing copy of Game Booster Portable, too. This version has a sexier look to it, and has new features I'm sure ya'll will enjoy.
I also rewrote the launcher in PAL.
Doesn't work... It runs, but i don't see any services to disable, therefor this is useless...
That has personally never happened to me. Perhaps its a bug with the program. A screenshot would help. Have you tried the 1.x version? I personally think it does a better job of giving you info on what its doing.

If the above doesn't stop anything either, than maybe your computer is already so fast that Game Booster can't make it go faster
Screenshot wouldn't help... Whole application is working, it's just not showing any services to stop... And btw. 1.x version is working, but i think (i don't know for sure) that newer version has more metods to speed up pc ;x

If you start Game Booster Portable Dev Test 2 and change language, when you open the program again the language will always be set to English again, same if you launch from PAM.
I told it to set the language according to PAM's language (so if you set PAM to say, Croatian, it will set Game Booster's language to Croatian)
I've changed language of PAM an now all work right, thanks for quick reply.

Improved language switching for chinese simplified/traditional via PAM.
Sorry it came a bit late; I didn't realize I hadn't updated to 3.1 until recently.
I have a question for Pyromaniac (or anyone else who would know). If I installed the regular version o Game Booster v3.2, could I just copy the files located in C:\Program Files\IObit\Game Booster 3, into PortableApps\GameBoosterPortable\App\Game Booster, or is there something else I need to do. I use this a lot, so I don't want to blow it up.
If that's it, I'm willing to use the PortableApps Installer and create an updated installer (if you want). No big deal either way. Just thought I'd offer. Peace, and thanks for the great portable app.

In this case, yes you could have, since there were no major changes in this release. Sometimes though (I'd say about 5%-30%, depending on the app), apps can change a lot from one version to the next. For example, Game Booster 1.x was completely different from 2.x and those two were completely different from 3.x. The launcher probably would have launched the app, if gamebooster.exe's name didn't change, but you might get some portability issues or even problems with the actual app if the settings files for the new version were different from the old one.

I didn't mean for you to actually update it, but thank you. Thanks also for the explanation. I have tried manually updating portable apps before with mixed results (one attempt lost me about 18 months worth of emails 
). Since then, I don't modify/update manually anything without asking. Peace, my friend...

I like to keep all my supported portable apps as up-to-date as possible, as it's almost always best to use the latest software.

Game Booster is freeware, and I had to get permission from the devs to redistribute their app. If you can get it, too, I suppose you can.
to me asking their permission just for this one version, as this is the last freeware version. You are correct to remind me that permission is needed for freeware. I tend to get a little forgetful when overly tired. Sorry about that.

As mentioned previously, this will be the final free release of Game Booster (and thus Game Booster Portable).
The Portable version runs great, however it's not totally portable, as it leaves registry entries behind.
An autorun entry is left for AutoUpdate.exe
The following key with entries remain:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tree\Game_Booster_AutoUpdate
Also leaves a dynamic key in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Schedule\TaskCache\Tasks
Also leaves behind the folder:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\GameBooster
Would this program be useful on an older computer? (By older computer I mean 15GB hard drive, so slow it makes Internet Explorer look like a good browser (okay, maybe not that bad))
EDIT: I guess not. Whenever I open the installer, the console pops up and says "Program too big to fit in memory". At least I think it said that. It only showed for 1/4 of a second.
