One point I thought I'd mention is that if you add NPSWF32.DLL to the plugins folder of any portable browser, this results in Flash cookies being saved to your userprofile's AppData\Macromedia folder.
There may be no way to avoid this I guess, but it does mean that a personal browsing-trail is being left-behind on the computer. If sites use Flash cookies as an ID -which I believe some do- then it might also cause the installed browser to suddenly start referring-to the computer's owner as whatever ID you gave to a site.

Just a question, wouldn't setting an environment variable fix this problem?
but you mean redirect all paths to appdata? well and what will all other apps on the system say to it? If setting for the one app only , could work?
I think you can simply delete those cookies either by hand or , use suitable extension, they seem to exist for all real and virtual problems of the world meanwhile...

I have done some investigating with process explorer and found that when you change an environment variable, it affects the launched applications without affecting other programs. I used this in a few of my apps and it works fine. Edit:I just realized this makes no difference with flash. So I 'm not sure how this problem should be solved.:)

simple: flash is not portable or it is not meant to be by the authors
The workaround with copying the dll to plugin folder was ok before, as those flash cookies are kind of newer invention.
And as mentioned, if you install BetterPrivacy into your portable FF, it will clear all those flash cookies upon closing of the firefox.
