Interesting

Actually, both BlueFish and Programmer's Notepad look pretty interesting. We try and keep decent dev tools in the lineup, just recently adding AkelPad and Notepad2 to our text editor lineup of Notepad++, gVim and Geany. I think either one or both of your suggestions should be doable.

No Viruses

There are no viruses in any of our apps. If you're detecting one, it's a false positive. You can check by uploading the file in question to VirusTotal.com. Some antivirus apps have higher instances of false positives (NOD32, Avast, McAfee, etc) than others (Norton, Microsoft, Kaspersky, etc).

BlueFish does seem pretty decent for an editor that's entirely geared towards HTML/CSS. It doesn't seem quite as flexible as Notepad++ (which I use for HTML, CSS, PHP, JS, Python, etc) nor does it seem like it is fully Unicode compliant (it is tied to a very outdated version of GTK+) but it may be a handy addition.

I don't know

for me the avast! got the alarm. maybe was false, because sometimes gives me false alarm... nod32/eset/avira/microsoft security essentials is a very big shit, I sucked after that a few times.....
I know, the BlueFish is using the old GTK+, but I in no wise to install and start the app Sad something is missing to start :/
but I'm sure (how you wrote) this is very pretty decent and flexible, with some bugs (no app without a bug), so if you may create a fully off-line installer to start, just do it Wink
the Notepad++ don't works for me correctly. the Nvu and the CompoZer are beautyful but don't supports PHP/MySQL. the layout of the app is great, I using WAMP ))))
the BlueFish using an old GTK+, so just do it Wink

No promises

But am looking at it to see if I feel capable of making it portable.

Bluefish 2.0 Portable Development

Suggest you check out this first - https://portableapps.com/node/14320. Although the version is clearly out of date, there would seem to be a need to take over the existing thread and development project if Zach Thibeau is no longer an active PortableApps contributor or has now abandoned this development project.

First

All I said was I would look never said I would get it done. Zach is still a very active and vital part of the team and I in no way would step out of bounds and take it over.

That being said I honestly do not feel I have the skills to do this justice and since I have no real interest in this type of program I could not even do it right tryinng to test it. So I defer to those more capable
