PortableApps.com Or my Internet?

Is anybody else having issues with PortableApps.com lately? It's hard to tell since I seem to be having issues with my Internet. It could also be my imagination but it seems I'm getting "PortableApps is down for maintenance" messages more frequently. Today, for the first time that I can remember I'm actually getting "PortableApps is overloaded" messages. I just want to be sure it's not a problem my end which it could well be. Another thing that made me question it is that we see to be getting a lot of double posts lately, so I'm wondering if other people are indeed having issues. Anyone?

Incidentally, not really very important but doesn't that cup of tea look distinctly too dark and brown? It looks more like a cup of cocoa to me. Either one works though, you can have "biscuits" with both. Smile

Overloaded

The server is simply overloaded. It's the equivalent of Twitter's fail whale or Reddit's 'You broke Reddit' alien. If there were an issue with you internet, you wouldn't see the site. This rule is basically universal.

Incidentally, this will usually only show up if you are logged in as pages served to logged in users are generated on the fly (from the overloaded database for the 50 or so users logged in) while pages for guests (6,000+ so at a time lately) are pulled from cached files on the server and don't put much strain on the system.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

I wondered the same...

...then I saw the overloaded comment.

I thought the pages were loading a little slow at the moment.
