Can you provide a link to the

Can you provide a link to the game's webpage, not just an upload of the games files please?
For all we know a) we may be able to tell you whether it can (legally speaking) be made portable without downloading 400~something meg worth of file, b) it may be illegal to redistribute the files as you have done and c) the file you provided could just be 400~something meg worth of virus or p*rn for all we know.

Heh, was wondering how something like that could be so big. Guess I misread KB as MB.

If the game you meant is this

If the game you meant is this one from here: http://powdertoy.co.uk/ there should be no problem. Seems to be OpenSource (GPL 2.0). Source code and license are here: https://github.com/FacialTurd/The-Powder-Toy

This is a nice one, found no traces left behind at first glance. I'll do a quick development test later, if nothing special occurs (I didn't try the online features or what I thought it was... somewhat complex game).

Better link to original developers sites the next time. Smile btw. Download size is about 2 MB, don't no what you have provided in your link. It seems to be a very outdated version.

done, see Beta-test forum

Look it up.

If Depp Jones could find it, and I could find it, you could have found it.
You knew it was called "The Powder Toy", that's what you called it when you requested it, so you could have gone to Google and typed The Powder Toy, and the first entry in the list is (you guessed it) The Official Website, PowderToy.co.UK.

Screen size

Don't know where else to post this, but I have a possible dev flaw with the game. accidentally putting the game on double-size screen mode is preventing me from getting to that little check mark at the bottom since it is now off the screen. Perhaps move that button to the top? I'm not a programmer, and have no idea how to navigate in that realm of this game to find that setting and change it back.

We didn\t develop the app

We didn't develop the app itself, we've simply portablized it. Try checking with the base app developers here for help with this issue: http://powdertoy.co.uk/Discussions/Categories/Topics.html?Category=1

Or you could have asked in

Or you could have asked in the beta forum tread: https://portableapps.com/node/26619

If you use the development test version from here, a possible fix would be:

  • Right click on the PA.c menu entry of The Powder Toy Portable => Explore here => go to App\AppInfo\Launcher and edit the PowderToyPortable.ini
  • change the third line to CommandLineArguments=' ddir "%PAL:DataDir%" scale:1'

This will make The Powder Toy Portable always start in normal size. You can then change the line back to CommandLineArguments=' ddir "%PAL:DataDir%"' if you want eventually be able to configure the screen size with the options dialog again.

I don't know if there is an easier way like a hotkey to options (the documentation for that is kind of sparse...). Wink
