Online sync via FTP? Sweet.

Online sync via FTP? Sweet. But the security nut in me asks if SFTP would also be possible Smile

Like the idea of save as

Like the idea of save as text, will allow me to import to evernote easier Wink

One thing I have noticed, the control panel toolbar doesn't resize to fit the window. If it doesn't fit, it just remains hidden and to get to the button you have to expand the window. I like to default size, so want it that way, but some buttons (and search) is out of reach...
Is that right?

Yes.

This is usually updated officially (we already support this app) once a stable release is released.

PA.c Format

Hey lamer, rather than you having a 32-bit portable zip, a 64-bit portable zip and then our PA.c Format version of the app, would you like to collaborate more directly and do a dual-mode 32+64 PA.c Format and have that be your main portable version? We could collaborate and post them at the same time and do a single announcement.

Hello, John, It is very

Hello, John,
It is very flattering proposal, but I am afraid I don't grasp the meaning. Isn't PNotes a part of PA suite (BTW, a big credit for my program)?
PNotes hasn't special 64-bit version (it runs both on 32 and 64-bit machines), but simple zip and setup packages, to let users to chose preferred option.
Could you mail me in detail?
Thank you.

32-bit/64-bit hybrid launcher: Like 7-Zip Portable

Have you used 7-Zip Portable lately?
In the latest releases 7-Zip Portable is a 32-bit/64-bit hybrid app, it contains both 32-bit & 64-bit packages of the program, and the PortableApps.com launcher will decide which one to launch based on the CPU Architecture of the computer you are using at the time.
In this way people running 7-Zip Portable on a 64-bit machine get the benefits of using a native 64-bit version, while still being able to use it when on 32-bit machines because it will simply launch the 32-bit version.

John T Haller is saying that if you are willing to work a little closer with the PortableApps.com developers that your official "Portable" version of PNotes, could be in the PortableApps.com Format, and use this same 32-bit/64-bit hybrid style launcher that 7-Zip does, allowing users to get the benefits of the native 64-bit PNotes version, while still being able to use it on 32-bit machines too.

I still don't understand what

I still don't understand what am I required to do. To give my consent? Of course I agree. Why may I not agree with it? Where is a "catch"? Smile
If I understand right it does not affect packages available on my site, but gives additional weight, authority to application.
BTW, I have no another "official Portable" version - but the PA only.

No

John was making a suggestion:

Instead of having 3 portable packages on your download page (a 32-bit portable zip, a 64-bit portable zip and then our PA.c Format version of the app), he suggests that you change the paf so it includes the 64 and 32-bit versions of PNotes and remove the zip packages so you only have one package instead of 3.

You arent required to do anything, it just might be easier for you.

My Mistake

I somehow posted this to the wrong app. It was supposed to be PeaZip Sad

But, it applies to PNotes as well (minus the 64-bit part). We could collaborate more closely and ensure the PA.c Format comes out at the same time. Or simply have the PA.c Format be the primary portable format rather than a Zip as well since it has so many advantages.
