[Released] DSpeech Portable 1.63.2 Development Test 2

Application: DSpeech
Category: Accessibility
Description:

DSpeech is a TTS (Text To Speech) program with functionality of ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) integrated. It is able to to read aloud the written text and choose the sentences to be pronounced based upon the vocal answers of the user. It is specifically designed to quickly and directly provide the functions and improved practical usefulness that are requested by this kind of program. In the meantime, the invasiveness and resource consumption is minimal.
(DSpeech does not install itself, is very light, starts in a second and doesn't write anything to the registry). Some notable features of DSpeech are:

1. Allows you to save the output as a .WAV, .MP3 or OGG file.
2. Allows you to quickly select different voices, even combine them, or juxtapose them in order to create dialogues between different voices.
3. DSpeech integrates a vocal recognition system that, through a simple script language, allows you to create interactive dialogues with the user.
4. Allows you to configure the voices in an independent way.
5. Thanks to apposite TAGs, it allows you to dynamically change the features of the voices during the playback (speed, volume and frequency), to insert pauses, emphasize specific words, or even to spell them out.
6. Allows you to capture and reproduce the content of the ClipBoard.
7. DSpeech is compatible with all vocal engines (SAPI 4-5 compliant).
8. AI dialog system. Not really useful, but amusing. It does not work in every language.

WARNING.

This does NOT backup and restore your speech recognition profile. I still have to figure out how to do that, since it uses the one built into Windows. If you don't want your current profile changed, don't use this yet.

If someone can give me a Regshot, that would hopefully help.

EDIT:

This is mostly for me, but these links might help.

Not really

Sorry to disappoint you, but the link to DShutdown now opens DSpeech - and vice versa... Smile

Update

While going through the test release page, I noted there is an update for this app. The base app is now up to 1.56.5.

Yes.

I noticed this before and then promptly forgot about it. Biggrin

The quarter is winding down, so hopefully soon I can update all my dev tests.

This one wasn't as high of a priority to me though since, without major custom code, I don't see this going official. Reason being is that it uses and saves profiles on the host computer within Microsoft's speech program. The only way I've seen to export and save that is the use of a library that I'm not sure how to use in NSIS.

Long enough wait, but the reason I've been slacking on this app is the fact that it creates a speech profile on the host computer and I haven't had the time to research how to create an extension for NSIS for custom code to back it up so it doesn't leave it on the host computer. Despite that, I figured I'd update the app and leave that as a note anyway.

Ugh, not this again. I

Ugh, not this again. I despise Google Drive.

I requested for the file to be reviewed, but the last time I had to do this it took forever, and I never received any confirmation that the false positive was removed. We'll see how it goes this time.

We'll see if this one gets flagged, too (probably). If so, I'll have to find another hosting service.
