Still Going?

I used to use this many, many moons ago. Now I use DM2 (and for other features too). There is a portable version of DM2 in development somewhere around here.

Thanks

Does DM2 make the whole window transparent, or the border? It would be nice if it there was a choice.

No Option

The whole window. No option I'm afraid. It does other useful stuff though like allow you to make a window always be on top (even if it normally doesn't have that option) and minimize applications to floating icons.

hmm

I tried it on windows vista but I saw no change in transparency, and no menu option to adjust it, except for the taskbar. Is this vista or am I missing something, where should the setting be?

Also, glass2k seems to be somewhat portable, but I still can't tell if it leaves data behind, though no actual installation is required, so I'm hoping there is no registry gunk unless you set it to run on startup. But maybe this is not the case, does anyone know?

And aquasnap is really amazing, I use it all the time now, but it still doesn't have any full time transparency that I have found.

If any one knows of an app (preferably portable) that can make windows borders transparent I would appreciate if you posted it here,

Thanks

AO

Top Left Hand Corner

DM2 adds the application windows manipulation features (transparency, always on top etc.) to the standard Windows Alt+Space application menu in the top left hand corner of most applications.

AquaSnap

AquaSnap Portable - https://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/aquasnap_portable - will turn windows semi-transparent. Also introduces features like (and more than) Win7 window snap.
