Couldn' t you ADD a second line with links to second, third (and so on) pages on TOP of each thread page (in order to let us reach follow-up pages WITHOUT having to scroll all the way down each time...

Drupal doesn't support that easily without some hacking (at least not that I know of). Have ya tried your 'END' key? That's what it's for.

It only wraps to a second page once there have been more than 50 replies to a post. I think only about 6 threads total have done that in the history of this site.
