Then don't forget to disable it on PortableApps.com.
Since I can't really donate, every now and then I click on the ads (although none of them appeal really to me). I mean, I'm looking for a Portable Water Tank... oh look! There looks like there's a 'Self-Supporting-Easy One Man Setup 250-50,000 Gallon tank with custom sizes available!' I wonder how much money the website makes with each click
I just realized that adding PortableApps.com to my AB+ exclusion list (or inclusion? point of view ) didn't completely enable ads. I didn't click the links until now and they were broken as I exclude doubleclick and googleanalytics per default in noscript. I now have permitted them for this site (don't know if that is persistent, will try). Let's see what other ad services knock at my door, too, and if I could allow them just for PA.c...

I hide elements on sites I like. That way, the script is still called, earning the site a little cash, but I don't have to see the ads.
Everywhere else, I block the ad scripts.

Not sure how it works. I thought the site only made money if the ads were clicked on...?
Depends on the arrangement. At least some will pay out a small amount every time an ad is loaded.

Where are these ads you speak of? I can't find them. I have NoScript, but there aren't any of the NoScript icons anywhere, although they don't always come up. If I hit "allow all" still nothing comes up. This might explain why the right side of the page is mysteriously blank...
I don't have any ad-blocking software.

They should be under "Sponsered Links".
I see where you're talking about. There's nothing under the the words "Sponsered Links."
Wait, wait, I hit NoScript again. There they are. Didn't see them before.
