A couple of reasons you

A couple of reasons you probably won't be seeing portable Super Smash Bros Melee:
a) It's a commercial license, so it would be illegal to make portable.
b) It is not a Windows app.

Even if you could get

Even if you could get permission from the developers/publishers, it still is not a Windows app and therefore will never run on a Windows machine without a GameCube emulator.

As for making a game like it, Portable Apps is about making existing Windows apps portable, not about making new ones. If you want to see a game like it, find another one that is either open source or freeware, or start coding it yourself.

Nintendo is quite anal about this type of thing

they sued people for making mario APPS they are very touchy when it comes to trademarks and intelectual properties. it will be a cold day in hell when they would give a mere mortal the permission to redeveolpe a game for their propriatary video game system onto a propriatary Windows NT based Operating System.

As I said above, this site is

As I said above, this site is about making already existing Windows apps portable, not about making new ones from scratch.

If you can find an open source or freeware game out there (and we can get permission in the case of freeware), I'm sure someone would be more than willing to attempt making it portable. If it was a game I liked, I'd probably have a go at developing it myself.

There IS Super Smash Flash 2, from McLeod... www.mcleodgaming.com it's still under developement, but isn't everything? and it's all installed from a .zip so no registry entries or anything, you could get in touch with the guy and ask him about it maybe?

Flash Games

Unfortunately, even if this was put into PortableApps format and any issues of writing to the PC were taken care of, it could never be considered truely portable, as playing it would only be possible on a PC with Flash installed.

Note: Just because a Programme is available in a zip file doesn't mean it won't alter Windows Registry settings and/or write data including personal information to any PC you use it on. Those are the issues that developers here spend much (most) of their time dealing with.
