Automatic updater

Hi,

I just read a post asking about updating and saw there is and automatic updater included with the latest release. Before I get the new version, is there an option to turn this off, just not down load, or uninstall?

I don't want ANYTHING updating or calling home without permission. My normal internet connection is limited. I only update applications at libraries.

Thanks,
Bob

Manual, Settings

The current 2.0 Beta 5 is manual only. The next release will check automatically by default on startup but you have the option to download app updates or not. And, of course, you can disable the automatic check and set it to full-manual and only check when you ask it to.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks John,

From the the other thread, I thought the newly posted release was a standard version- not beta. I'm glad I'll be able to go to full manual for updates.

I deleted the acrobat reader because the nosy little bugger wouldn't stop calling home every time it was opened.
