Hello,
When I go into about:config to make mplayer the app for the
mms protocol Firefox still tells me the mms protocol is still
not configured.
about:config reads...
network.protocol-handler.app.mms;/usr/bin/gnome-mplayer
I wonder why this isn't working ?

If this is a Firefox on Linux question, it's not relevant here - we only deal with Firefox Portable. If you are using Firefox Portable, you will need a proper Windows path.
