Is it possible to make the menu Eject button do some other stuff too? Also, can menu buttons be added?

Is it possible to make the menu Eject button do some other stuff too? Also, can menu buttons be added?

First of all, does the 'device can be safely removed' notification always come up when it should do, with USB flash drives, when the menu Eject button is used? As I often use a cloud synced folder for PA, I am not completely sure if it does.

Now, this Eject button seems to execute a .exe file to do its stuff. I was wondering if it was possible to get it to run a script instead. I have some other non-PA portable apps, like eXpresso, which I would like it to close as well.

Also, it would be really nice if I could add some buttons to the right side of the menu, which can be made to execute scripts.

I do not think that these things are possible, so these are just wishes - but is it at all possible to achieve these things?

Thanks.

No interest?

The only reason I can imagine that nobody thinks that this is a good idea is because it has already been asked for many times. Is there a reason for not having this?

Basically, the ability to start and stop programs when the PA menu is started and stopped would be so very useful in getting my portable environment running on work machines. If optional batch scripts could be run as well, that would be wonderful.

Coming

Both are coming in the run-up to 2.0 over the coming weeks.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Excellent

That's great news. Since I rediscovered PortableApps a while ago, it has become the way I do almost everything. Having my own environment on a new server, instantly, makes life a lot easier and more productive. Thanks.
