Stickies Portable: always need to start it twice!?

Hello!

My System: Win XP Prof.

Problem: i always have to start the .exe-file twice! Means, when i double-click (or click once on the link on my desktop) the little PortableApps window appears and closes again, but nothing else happens! Only when i launch a second time, the program opens fully and from then on, when i close and reopen it, no problems. Until i reboot Windows. Then again, need to launch it twice.
This is rather annoying since i wanted to launch my "Post-It-Notes" automatically with windows by putting the link into Startup-Folder. But naturally this does´nt work, so i have to manually click it a second time after booting.

Is this a known issue?

what shortcut did you put into the startup folder? stickies.exe or stickiesportable.exe?

StickiesPortable.exe

StickiesPortable.exe

By the way, this issue was already reported by another user in January:

possible explanation

I guess that is related to the way the apps from this project use to achieve propper portability:
There's a launcher (StickiesPortable.exe) that setups some stuff for Stickies (e.g. copies some setting file tp APPDATA or some stuff in the registry), then runs stickies itself and waits for it to be closed. Then it cleans up what has been changed (syncing it back to the portable drive and deleting that stuff from the local drive).
So, in case you quit the launcher before it can finish the clean-up or even before stickies itself, it will on next startup notice this, clean up the stuuf that was left and exit.
