In options, you can set it to a specific directory on your flash drive and it will continue to use that as you move PCs (the launcher will update the drive letter).

I had a problem where it kept downloading every file to the same stupid folder in C:\Documents and Settings\bpmackow\... regardless of what the download location was set to.
I think the issue might have been the computer. It seems to work fine on other machines. I'll have to try it again on that one to see if it still has that problem.

The other computer now doesn't download files to the location specified.
On Firefox 3.6 it didn't work on only one machine. On Firefox 4, it doesn't work on any machine. I now have to go into the C drive to retrieve my files.
If it helps, the download location I set is U:\Downloads, where U:\ is a network drive that I can access from any school computer.

It's only portablized if you set it to a location on the same drive as FF portable runs on. Otherwise, as soon as you run it on a computer where that location doesn't exist as FF starts I think it resets it.

It loads automatically upon login. It's there whether I want it or not. So the address is always valid. Does it really have to be the same drive? Does that particular feature take into account drive letter change?

I downloaded a different file from a different website on a different computer to the same place and it worked.
