What exactly do you think looks ugly? The banner on the site? The name on the platform? Something else?

The image size, the quality the name itself all look good to me, Like my kids are or color blind or color deficient? or don't like the colors ?, My kids have problems with some reds, greens and browns.
Once again, the big sign at the top of what? The web page or the platform?Ignore that, just realized this is posted in the Platform forum (forehead slaps self).
What about it exactly looks so bad? I work in a design-based industry and I think it looks pretty damn good.

What looks ugly? Is this your opinion or is this based on some fact?
The banner graphic at the top if the page looks good (to me and that is my opinion), provides the right information, is readable and includes the logo. I see it as a clean banner.
Just my humble opinion.
