when i run portableapps updater, it searches for apps in the same folder(or drive?) where it has launched from.
i have apps in multiple drives, how can i update them using only one copy of updater?

because each Install is completely seperate you have to use each installs updater
The only thing that could be done MAYBE you could have the updater check for where ever the updater downloads to at least save the download time.
i'm sorry, maybe i was not clear, I'm talking about portableapps platform updater, the 2.0 beta version.
okay lets say you have installs of the platform on E F G and H
if you run the updater on the install in E then that install and only that install will be updated
F G and H will have to have the updater run seperately

is there any config file to edit for satisfying my purpose?
