Hey all,
Hope this is the right place to post this. My question is: is there a portable app out there that can play .swf files? On my notebook, I can play them using Media Player Classic and the .swf plug-in. But on a portable hard drive on various computers, I can't replicate the experience. VLC can play .flv files, but not .swf. Anybody know of something that can?

either, but I just open the swf file with Firefox, it works for me.

Yeah, I was going to say that FxP is a great portable Flash player.

but I believe he means Standalone.
BTW, does this happen to anyone else:
When I open a SWF file in FF, it brings up a download dialog. I think it might be either MozOpenDownload or Download Statusbar doing it.

That has only happened to me when I did not have the latest Flash Player or Shockwave Player.

Try that. It's a nice standalone program.

Why don't you use Firefox for it? It's fine for playing flash. And for flv, try FLV Player.

Free, but not Open. Natrually portable. No registry entries (unless you associate it with .swf files). One ini file in application folder and 1 exe - that's it. No stray preference files. Less than 350 Kb HD footprint (after UPX compression? - I cannot remember). Playlist, etc.
